Dear Friends and Neighbours - 

For the last year, I have had the privilege  of serving as your Member of Parliament here in Newton - North Delta. I want to start by thanking you for your on-going support. I pledge to continue to work hard and stand up for your interests in Ottawa.

Last May, voters did more than just elect more NDP MPs. They showed every Canadian that you can vote for the change you want—and actually get it. A year later, the Conservative government is on the defensive—plagued by scandal, secrecy and mismanagement.

Instead of focussing on jobs, like he promised, Stephen Harper is attacking pensions, cutting health care and gutting environmental protection. We’re holding these tired Conservatives to account and showing Canadians we’ve got the team, capability and leader to deliver a better government.

In 2015, we’ll be asking voters to make history again, by electing a New Democrat government that puts Canadians first.
